Sat 10 Mar 17.30 - 17.30
One of the most prolific and unique music artists of his generation and arguably Denmark's ultimate living jazz legend, pianist Niels Lan Doky delivers an evening of jazz trio at its best, joined by an international cast of spectacular musicians, including former Prince drummer David "Fingers" Haynes (USA) and bass virtuoso François Moutin (France).
Indulge in an intimate, private concert at the jazz legend’s residence where the trio will perform original compositions of Niels Lan Doky’s.
Then transition over to the dining room for dinner with the artists designed by rising star, Santiago Lastra (Mugaritz, Noma Mexico). Santiago offers an exquisite take on his native Mexican cuisine with a repertoire honed with guest chef stints in 14 countries in the past couple years. Everyone has heard of Noma Mexico, called “meal of the decade” by The Washington Post. Now you have Santiago in the flesh, who was instrumental in bringing Noma Mexico to life alongside René Redzepi. He is a storyteller with an abundance of adventures to share while guiding you through his menu.
It’s not everyday you can sit down to dinner with some of the best jazz musicians in the world in a truly exclusive setting. An opportunity to pick Moutin’s brain on quantum physics (he has a PhD!) or Haynes’ time with Prince, Chaka Khan, and Mary J. Blige. This is the ultimate dinner party and a feast for your senses.
