For an exclusive period, Events in the Sky will operate a 12-day pop-up restaurant in London. Open to the public, this event will see some of London's best restaurants transfer their menus and dining experiences to our unique sky table, suspended 100 feet in the air. This is an experience where guests can learn about Asado customs, and learn more information about the city in a very relaxed atmosphere. And you would be eating a fantastic Asado guided by the very capable hands of a masterparrillero(local grill master). The concept isa typical weekend family Asado (local bbq) that Argentina is famous for. Your host would take youand the other guests (semi-private, maximum 10 people)to the butcher shop, the bakery, and the wine store, all the while walking the cobblestone streets of Palermo Viejo, just like a local family would do. You then go back to a large private home (not a restaurant) and help prepare the Asado. It is a first-hand experience of learning how to prep the meat, create the salad, build the fire with charcoal and wood, and all the while learning about the neighborhood (guests might want to jot down the different shops visited for some shopping later).Of course, lots of food and drink is included in the price! Before Morgan St Theater I taught high school social studies.This month I tap into my inner-educator to create an interactive dessert performance. Drawing inspiration from the 80's geography game, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego," each course of this menu will highlight classic flavor profiles found in countries around the world. As guest and participant, you are challenged to identify the country of origin for each course.
